Slippery Elm Tea is made from the bark of the Slippery Elm tree, which is native to the United States and parts of Canada. It has been used by Native Americans for medicinal purposes, such as treating fever and wounds.
Slippery Elm helps to soothe the lining of the gut and therefore may help relieve the symptoms of such ailments as inflammatory bowel disease For best results always use fresh, filtered water and mix with hot or cold water. Note: it is normal for it to not be dissolved completely. SERVING: 1 heaped teaspoon per cup (250ml). In a cup, add 1 teaspoon and mix to a paste with a small amount of hot milk or water.
