Quinoa is a tasty nutty grain made from the seed of the plant of the same name. While it’s been in use for thousands of years, quinoa has only recently been popularised in the West. This is because of its touted health properties.
Unlike many other grains, it is a complete protein, containing all eight of the essential amino acids. It is also very high in fibre and boasts minerals and vitamins including iron and magnesium.
